Eagerly Awaiting...

I am sure you all were eagerly awaiting this final post about the Whole30. I will try to let you down easy. I ate and drank things that I shouldn't have. I know, I know I am a horrible person for not sticking to my guns. In my defense, I tried to avoid everything all at once! Big mistake!

For the results: I lost about 9 pounds, a dress size, and I feel physically better. Its hard to pinpoint specific changes in 30 days but those are the ones that I noticed right away. (I bought a size 4 pair of jeans! Not my first pair but first pair in a couple of years.)

I have a different goal for this month. I am going to avoid any grains containing gluten and most others as well. I say most because I would like to lose a little more weight. If I substitute other grains in the place of gluten containing grains I will not lose any more fat. Most grains cause a big spike in insulin typically even more than sugar!! The other things I am going to do is watch my sugar, dairy and alcohol intake. I am not going to stop completely but moderation is key!

I was diagnosed last year with high cholesterol. I am planning on getting blood work done early next year to see how it is. I am hoping with losing weight and eating better that it will not be as high.

As usual I will try to update every once in a while! (Don't count on it!)
